I do videos of stuff that brings interest to me, mainly, trains trucks, heavy machinery. Really anything with wheels or an engine. I’m big into trains and train videography. I mainly film trains on my local subdivision or down at my local train Yard but I also often times will throw a video up on my channel that isn’t train related. But regardless if you enjoy my content feel free to like share and subscribe. All feedback is appreciated. Just please don’t be rude. (I’m trying to get better but I will not take any form of hate against what I do) Any comments negatively portraying my editing or filming skills will be immediately removed. I’ll take all advice for my videos but if you don’t have anything nice to say please just don’t say it at all.

A VERY WINDY day at UP's Denver North Yard

It was VERY WINDY today. I did my best to reduce the wind in post production so please don’t flood the comments with complaints about the wind also North Yard weekend will not be posted next week due to events going on over the weekend. The weekly videos will return on June 2nd.
2024 UP Steam Shop Tour at Cheyenne depot days

Got to go into the sea shop again this year during depot days and I remembered this time to get video. However I wasn't able to get any video from up on the cab level catwalks in the steam shop since 4014 was undergoing prep for his California tour in late June 2024.

2024 Denver Auto Show

I didn't get as much footage as I Thought I did. But regardless I had a great time at the show this year especially with seeing the Tesla Cyber truck. Sorry I didn't get ant external video of the cyber truck. (Apologies for any blurriness seen in the video. the G7X's autofocus was acting a bit strange. Hopefully I have it sorted for future videos.

It was a great day a the yard as usual. This video was filmed with a new camera (Sony FDR-AX53 handicap) and a new microphone (Saramonic Vmic5 Pro) I’m still ironing out all the little kinks with r=the new camera since I’ve never used a handycam before. Hopefully next week is a bit better.

It was a mother great day at the yard with plenty of activities to see. I thought it was especially interesting seeing a car get "Bad Ordered" by the RCO due to a damaged plug door.

it was REALLY windy at the yard today so I want to apologize in advance in regards to bad audio quality in today's video. But audio issues aside I think the morning was pretty good none the less.

What work are they doing on the 844
There wasn’t any work going on with 844. (At least that I was aware of) I was unable to get a up close look at 844 since it was cordoned off
If the engines do not have the yellow strobes mounted on the cab can they be run remotely
As far as I’m aware. Locomotives without the strobes are not radio control equipped.

I am appreciative of the comment. I honestly don’t mind if I’m a foamer because in my mind getting to see the inside of the steam shop and roundhouse is a valid excuse for being a foamer since it’s such a rare opportunity

1:30 That's the new PTC on 4014! 4014 can now run on the mainline without the assistance of a diesel!
Yes it is! Although the diesel locomotive (UP-4015) is still in the consist as an emergency engine and dynamic brake assist.

UP is having substantial problems with service delivery and serving customers with timely pick up and delivery of railcars. Like on average I've read three days late. 🛤️

when throttling up those series of DETROITS they give that TIMPANIC SOUND until the fuelf flow settles out in that notch that only those series of DETROITS can you. where i worked at we had a GMC single axle that we used to spot trailers on the it had a DETROIT in it and i can here that same sound in the locomotive

I’m under the 48th avenue bridge in the parking lot next to the yard.
It's kinda surprising to me that they still need a guy to cut the cars as they go over the hill. Seems like something they would have figured out how to automate already.
Yeah I think it’s not feasible (yet) to have a machine do the car cutting due to all the different lengths of cars and the different timing that is needed to propel loaded/empty cars down the hill at the proper speed.
@@FerroequinologistofColorado I have limited knowledge of how the hump procedure works so I'm sure I will be educated following this post, but why don't they pull the pins on all the couplers before pushing the train up the hill? Are they afraid the engine may go too fast for the sorting process and push too many at one time? I'm also not trying to eliminate someone's job, it just stood out to me is all.
@@KandWRailroader from what I’ve learned about the whole sorting process used here the pins are only pulled on each group of cars one at a time since the relevant release point can vary between each rail car.
@@FerroequinologistofColorado Oh that's right...sometimes they are sorted in groups and there's no sense in uncoupling every car if some of them need to stay together anyway.
